Doug Drummond, Director of Previews International at Coldwell Banker, recently purchased a GEM car to use as an alternative fuel vehicle.

The GEM car is battery powered, seats four comfortably, and is classified as a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV).

“I simply plug it in at night and it’s ready to go about 30 miles on a single charge,” Drummond said. “It is very fun to drive and really relaxing. Our clients love it. It is a great way to tour the beautiful streets of La Cañada Flintridge.

“With the price of gas over $3 a gallon, we are using our GEM car everyday for errands. One of the great benefits of this car is that it makes people smile.”
