Thursday Club Holiday Party and Fundraiser
The Bill Hyland Sextet provided the musical backdrop
for the Thursday Club’s “Christmas Serenade
in Blue” dinner dance.
The Thursday Club hosted its
annual holiday party and ways and
means fundraiser, themed “A
Christmas Serenade in Blue,” on
Friday, Dec. 1. More than 135
members of the Thursday Club
attended with their spouses and
guests.
Attendees dined on a traditional
holiday meal featuring prime rib
and all the trimmings prepared by
Cynthia Brooks Distinctive
Catering. Partygoers danced
throughout the evening to music
provided by the Bill Hyland Sextet.
Proceeds generated from the
event support the Thursday Club’s
scholarship program and other philanthropic
endeavors. Laura Canales
was the event chairperson.
Committee members included
Anita Brenner Torres, Val Burgess,
Dotty Greenawalt, Evelyn
Kaufman, Jewel Matsuura, Bette
Reigelman, Pat Ryburn and
Darlene Todd.
The Thursday Club’s “Christmas Serenade in Blue” benefit committee included
