Dr. Schultz Joins La Cañada Pet Clinic
 Gerry Schultz, D.V.M., is now
working at the La Cañada Pet
Clinic. A native of Minnesota,
Schultz graduated from Iowa State
University College of Veterinary
Medicine in 1973. After an internship
in internal medicine at Iowa
State University, she moved to
Southern California and has practiced
in this area ever since. She
was previously employed at
Parkview Veterinary Hospital in
Glendale since 1985.
She joins a team of veterinarians
at the La Cañada Pet Clinic
including Susan Dietrich, D.V.M.,
Woody Walker, D.V.M., and Jim
Hergessell, D.V.M. The La Cañada
Pet Clinic has been accredited by
the American Animal Hospital
Association since 1965. Only 15% of all small animal veterinary facilities
in the U.S. are accredited hospital
members of the association. In
order to maintain accredited status,
La Cañada Pet Clinic must continue
to be evaluated regularly by the
association’s trained consultants.
The evaluation includes a quality
assessment review of the hospital’s
facility, medical equipment, practice
methods and pet health care management.
Schultz’s interests include internal
medicine, dermatology and
ultrasound. With her husband, Peter
Thompson, and three children, she
shares her home with two cats — Tigerbird and Bowie McMeowie.

for our animal companions,”
