If you are looking for a good breakfast, you will definitely want to come to Dish.

Owner Kevin Finch has brought a great family dining experience to our community. Any selection from the wonderful breakfast menu will definitely start your day off right! Whether you choose sausage, an omelet, bacon and eggs, waffles, or even toast and English muffins, you will immediately notice the quality preparation. Your toast will be hot because you can toast it yourself, right at your own table!

In addition to an excellent place for breakfast, families can drop in for an informal meal of good, basic American cuisine. Dish offers a great selection of burgers and sandwiches. Extremely popular is the Dish burger, a half-pound of certified Black Angus ground round, served on a La Brea Bakery sesame bun with pickle, tomato and red onion on the side. The Dish classic BLT is a great choice and you can add avocado for an extra touch. I also liked the Dish Cobb melt with sliced turkey (the real roasted turkey breast — not the deli type) bacon, melted blue cheese, tomatoes and lettuce on grilled sourdough bread. Other great sandwiches are the beef brisket melt or the barbecued pulled pork. Both are hearty and delicious.

Salads are always a good choice at Dish. The traditional Caesar salad is classic. The ginger chicken salad features fresh oranges, crispy noodles, sliced almonds, julienne carrots, cilantro and spicy mixed greens topped with a ginger sesame dressing. The Ojai chicken salad combines grilled chicken breast with avocado, fresh orange and ruby grapefruit sections with baby greens and lovely citrus honey vinaigrette.

Dinner offers some delicious choices including great appetizers. Try the goat cheese on grilled sourdough toast with salsa fresca or the shrimp-corn fritters with honey-lime dipping sauce. Either of these appetizers combined with a salad will make a terrific light meal.

Entrees include grilled marinated chicken breast served over lentils with a tomato-cucumber salad, a grilled pork chop with spicy apple chutney accompanied by mashed potatoes and seared greens, or fabulous slow-roasted ham with old-fashioned macaroni and cheese. If you prefer pasta, try the BLT pasta or the pasta with fresh spinach and chicken. There is also a Dish vegetable plate of assorted vegetables, potatoes, lentils and salads. For a special treat order a side of the fantastic macaroni and cheese. It is just like “Mother used to make!”

End your meal with apple bread pudding and you’ll understand the true satisfaction of “comfort food.”

Dish is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. There is a dining room available for private parties. Dish also offers home delivery and catering.
