HomeGoods To Open Sunday

HomeGoods, the second-largest business tenant in the La Cañada Flintridge Town Center, will be opening its new local store this Sunday, Oct. 12, at 8 a.m. The company’s 23,000-square-foot space marks the 19th HomeGoods store in the Los Angeles market.

HomeGoods boasts as being “the country’s only off-price store dedicated to home fashions.” It offers a changing selection of home fashions from around the world, at prices that are 20 to 60% less than finer catalog, specialty and department store prices, according to company spokesman Phil Tracey. “With over 300 stores across the country, HomeGoods fills a void in the home décor marketplace, offering consumers incredible savings on a wide selection of unique, high-quality merchandise, including designer and brand names,” he said. “The new HomeGoods store in La Cañada will offer shoppers remarkable prices on a tremendous selection of top-quality home décor options for every room in the house. We are confident that La Cañada area shoppers will find HomeGoods to be an exciting shopping experience like no other.

“There are a lot of home enthusiasts in the area. It’s a perfect community for us; it’s a natural fit.”

HomeGoods is owned by the world’s largest off-price retailer, The TJX Companies, Inc.

“We are excited to continue to expand our off-price home fashions concept across the country,” said Nan Stutz, president of HomeGoods. “In today’s challenging economy, we believe that our stores are welcome additions to the existing retail environment because of our compelling combination of outstanding values on high-quality, fashionable merchandise for every room in the home.”

According to a company spokesman, HomeGoods hires all store management and associates from the local area and expects to fill approximately 60 full- and parttime positions. In addition, HomeGoods is committed to diversity and promoting its associates within the growing company. The company is also committed to being a good corporate citizen and is proud to support several charitable organizations that focus on families impacted by domestic violence and health related issues.

Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special grand opening day hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 12. For additional HomeGoods locations, call 1-800-614-HOME or visit homegoods.com.
