Sheedy Joins JSB Motors in LCF

“In this economy?!” That may be
the first reaction when considering
whether to replace a car that’s starting
to show the wear and tear of your
Southern California commute. We’ve
all read the headlines — banks making
it tougher to get credit, automakers
closing plants and laying off workers
and gasoline prices still in the stratosphere.
If you can just get through next
year, then maybe, it will be time to get
a new set of wheels. You don’t have to
make this decision all on your own,
however, when you can rely on the
experienced experts at JSB Motors in
La Cañada Flintridge.

The JSB family has a new addition
this month, and no, it’s not the latest
offering from Audi, Cadillac, or
Toyota. Tim Sheedy has joined the
team as a new leasing/sales agent and
bringing over three decades of experience
in customer service to JSB owner
Brian Hull’s successful enterprise. For
Sheedy, it was an easy move for a several
reasons.
“I’m really excited about my new
venture with Brian – we met in second
grade at St. Bede’s and have been close
friends ever since. I went to a lot of
birthday parties at Brian’s, which usually
meant ice skating. I went on to St.
Francis High School, Brian to LCHS.
Our friendship continued over the
years and — since our wives were
friends in high school — our paths
would often cross at parties, events and
eventually at school functions for our
kids. Brian and I share a passion for
skiing and have enjoyed swapping old
stories on the slopes of Mammoth
Mountain.”
Sheedy’s entry into the car business
was almost by accident.
“In 1973, I had recently graduated
from the University of Arizona. A
very close family, George Karl, was
managing Coberly Leasing in Los
Angeles. At a dinner party one night,
he asked if I wanted to come to work
for him. I’d never even thought about
pursuing a career in the car business,
but that all changed when I said
‘yes.’”
From there, Sheedy went on to
work at Sierra Leasing Company for
the next 33 years.
What’s important to both Sheedy
and Hull is the commitment to customer
service. They both take a “whatever
it takes” approach to give clients
the best experience in car leasing or
purchasing. While exotic and high-end
luxury cars still grace the showrooms
and magazine ads, not all people looking
to get a new car are doing so just to
bring more zoom to their lives.
Economy, safety, or simple necessity
are as strong a motivation as having
the latest offering from Stuttgart or
Detroit catch the customer’s eye.
Pounding the pavement and kicking
the tires isn’t necessarily the best way
to get independent advice of automotive
professionals or to find the best car
at the best price for your transportation
and financial needs. That’s where JSB
comes in.
“Becoming part of and adding to
the already successful team at JSB is a
great opportunity for me,” Sheedy
said. “My philosophy has always been
that the key is to make everything a
smooth and comfortable experience
for the client – something that Brian
stresses very strongly here.”
Sheedy also believes that automobile
leasing will continue to be an attractive
option for individuals and families.
“This allows the consumer more liquidity,
which is so important in today’s
economic environment,” he said.
