Upstage Theatre Arts School, which specializes in acting, singing, and dance training for children ages 6-16, concluded the second session of its annual summer camp with an adapted production of the "Lion King." The theme for the first session was the musical, "Footloose." The performances took place at Huntington Auditorium in San Marino.
Highlights of the summer camp included an on-camera workshop with a casting director from Foy Casting, stage combat and mask-making workshops, a karaoke contest, and field trips to the zoo and "Monsters and Make-up" studio, where students learned how horror movies are made.
Participating students from La Caņada Flintridge were Dawson Bloom, Emily Dickenson, Chris Gilbert, Mishtii Murari, Jenna Schwartz, Anza Sellers and Nicole Tobias.
