The third annual La Caņada Flintridge Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting Event, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of La Caņada, will be held this Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at LCF Memorial Park. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at the door. (They are also available at Le Petit Vendome Wine & Spirits, 958 Foothill Blvd.)
Nearly 600 people will enjoy the music of Tropical Punch, a two-piece Calypso band, wines from 45 wineries, as well as delicious specialty foods prepared by restaurants and food purveyors from local and surrounding communities.
The silent auction, an added feature this year, will allow all attendees an opportunity to bid on a long list of impressive items.
Proceeds from the event will benefit children. "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time," said Diane Della Valle of the Kiwanis.
Wineries participating include Antelope Valley Winery, Cellarmasters, Cero Caliente Cellars, Don Sabastiani & Sons (Aquinas Winery and Smoking Loon Winery), Golden State Wine Co., Goudas & Vines, The Henry Wine Group, Le Petit Vendome Wine & Spirits (Flora Springs Wines, Napa Valley, Arini, Sicily, and Domaine Des Cassagnales), Maddelena Vineyard, Megawine Brave Stallion Vineyards, Pacific Wine & Spirits (Solaris Winery), Undiscovered Wines, Young's Market Co.
