Crestview Preparatory School in La Cañada Flintridge celebrated its 20th year with balloons, a banner and chocolate cake for all of its 220 students.
Head of School Marge Hanna has lead the school since 1982. In 1986 Hanna, along with Vicki Dempsey, who served as chief financial officer and the Board of Trustees, incorporated Crestview Preparatory School.
Crestview offers a comprehensive curriculum including computers, art, library, music, physical education and Spanish to students in Kindergarten through sixth grades. The school just received another six-year accreditation from the California Association of Independent Schools.
All the students enjoyed the celebration, especially kindergartner Jason Katsof, who said, "The icing on the cake makes my lips turn white."
