Letters to the Editor
What a Waste
It is discouraging to see the
number of homes whose sprinklers
are still running during the current
storms. Despite the rains of the last
few days, state water reserves are
still extremely low. All of our yards
have gotten a thorough drenching
and will not need watering for
many, many weeks.
Take advantage of all the free
water from the sky and in the
process help alleviate the strain on
the state’s water reserves by turning
off your automatic sprinkler systems.
