LCE 2nd Graders Sing Way Around the World

La Cañada Elementary School second-graders learned and performed songs integrated with their social studies curriculum. Program Director Katherine Spry led students in “Songs from Around the World,” which included “Tarantella” from Italy, “Cielito Lindo” from Spain, “Yankee Doodle Dandy” from the U.S. and “Hukilau” from Hawaii.

The program, which is supported by the LCFEF, concluded with “It’s a Small World,” featuring Mary Hawkins’ Spanish class students. LCE second-grade teachers are Sheri Burns, Wendy Damico, Marie Evelyn and Deborah Pruden.
