Carmody & Co. to Debut
‘Cupcake Cuties’
Holiday decorating is not just
limited to stringing up Christmas
lights and playfully hanging mistletoe
over doorways. Delicious
desserts can be adorned with festive
garnishes to liven up a holiday
meal, and Carmody & Co. will
introduce a product this weekend
that can make cupcakes a cause for
holiday cheer.
The Old Town stationery shop,
located at 121 E. Union St., will be
debuting several Cupcake Cuties
Decorating Kit designs at a special
in-store holiday event on Saturday,
Dec. 11. The first 100 Carmody &
Co. customers will receive a free
decorated cupcake.
Cupcake Cuties currently offers
32 separate designs, 10 of which
will be carried by Carmody & Co.
and owner Terry Clougherty.
Naturally, the shop will feature
Christmas designs and football themed
designs for Super Bowl
parties in February. But Cupcake
Cuties founder Theresa Deliberto’s
favorite is the Cuties for the Cure
design, which benefits breast cancer
research. In September,
Deliberto partnered with the Susan
G. Komen Foundation and developed
a pink ribbon design complete
with pink confetti. For every Cuties
for the Cure kit that is sold, 5% of
the proceeds go to breast cancer
research.
Deliberto founded Cupcake
Cuties after becoming frustrated
with the process of creating visually-
appealing desserts.
“I’m a working mom, and I
thought, ‘There has got to be an easier
way [to decorate cupcakes],’” Deliberto said.
Now Deliberto is excited to
debut her products at Carmody &
Co., just in time for the holidays.
“
[Clougherty] is a longtime
Pasadena staple,” Deliberto said.
“Everyone knows Carmody & Co.”
Carmody & Co. is celebrating
its fourth holiday season by offering
all in-store holiday items at 40% off.
